The museum is staffed entirely by volunteers. If you would be interested in volunteering at the museum, please let us know. You can work on your own schedule, as much or as little as you like. Our Motorcycles
The St. Francis Motorcycle Museum houses more than 160 vintage motorcycles from more than 50 manufacturers including ACE, Cleveland, Jefferson, Emblem, Excelsior, Flanders, Harley-Davidson, Henderson, Indian, Marsh-Metz, Reading Standard, Pope, Thor, Yale, Feilbach Limited, Iver Johnson, and many others.
Unique
The museum is pleased to exhibit one of only two known 1902 Orient motorcycles; the earliest manufacturer to use the term "motorcycle." We also house 40 motorcycles older than 1929 (several of which only five or less are known to exist.) The museum is a treasure of motorcycle history and memorabilia, and the collection is one of the finest to be found anywhere.

Biketember Fest 2026
BIKETEMBER FEST -- Saturday, September 19, 2026
The St. Francis Motorcycle Museum is sponsoring Biketember Fest on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Come join the Bassackwards Poker Run, visit the beautiful St. Francis Motorcycle Museum, meet friends (old and new), and have a good time!
Start the day with breakfast at the St. Francis Fire House on Highway 36. Breakfast is served from 7:00am (CENTRAL TIME) to 10:30am. Breakfast includes eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon, coffee and juice.
The Bassackwards Poler Run features $1500 in prize money. Registration will be held at the St. Francis Motorcycle Museum from 8:30am-10am. We plan to use the same route we traveled for the 2025 Poker Run. The Poker Run will begin at the St. Francis Motorcycle Museum and travel north passing through Benkelman, NE; Trenton, NE; Atwood, KS; and McDonald, KS. The ride will conclude at the St. Francis Motorcycle Museum. All riders must return by 1:30 pm. Raffles, T-shirts, and 50/50 raffle will be held.
Prize money for the Poler Run will be $1500. The five lowest hands will be paid as follows: Lowest hand: $500; 2nd - $400; 3rd - $300; 4th - $200; and 5th - $100.
Food vendors will be available in the museum area. Dining at one of the area eating establishments is also an option.
A Veteran's Recognition and awards assembly will be held at approximately 2:45pm There will be some motorcycle games after the Poler Run returns to the museum..
The museum will be open until 5pm (or later if needed).
